Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support licensed personnel and assist with activities of daily living. You will take vital signs, help with bathing, dressing, feeding, and basic patient care, and document in the medical record.

This onsite role at 70 Francis Street offers a 24-hour weekly schedule and a $20.58–$26.58 hourly pay range. Eligible new employees may receive a $750 sign-on bonus where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred.
• Licenses/certifications such as BLS, CMA, CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame.
• Completes documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Assists with basic hygiene tasks and activities of daily living.
• Helps reposition patients and transfers between bed and wheelchair as needed.
• Reports health concerns to the nurses.
