Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma is required.
• Minimum of 2 years in an operating room setting; ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• RN license required or compact licensure.
• BCLS certification required at employment; online cert not acceptable.
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR/SGNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for surgical cases.
• Coordinate and oversee the room as the circulator.
• Facilitate efficient transitions between procedures.
• Utilize preference cards and keep them updated.
