Job summary

Kingwood Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Endoscopy Nurse (RN Endo GI PRN) to support surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period.

As a circulating or scrub nurse, you will oversee instrument and equipment set-up, coordinate the case flow, and facilitate safe transitions between procedures, while updating preference cards as necessary. Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting; ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• RN license required or appropriate compact licensure.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment. online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR / SGNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment set-up.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transition between procedures.
• Utilize preference cards and update them as necessary.
