AdventHealth in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care in the endoscopy unit under the supervision of RNs. The role includes documenting patient data, planning care, obtaining informed consent, and assisting during procedures.

Responsibilities include post-procedure education, timely reporting, equipment upkeep, and ensuring continuity of care. Requires LPN license, BLS, IV certification, and GI/ACLS are optional preferences.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training required for LPN role.
• Endoscopy experience not required but LPN scope applicable.

Responsibilities

• LPN provides care to endoscopy patients under RN supervision.
• Completes medical records for endoscopy patients.
• Plans patient care using orders from endoscopist, anesthesia, and RN input.
• Implements patient care and obtains informed consent.
• Carries out orders and performs pre-procedure testing.
• Educates patients and families before procedures.
• Delivers post-procedure care and discharge education under RN supervision.
• Ensures continuity of care by timely reporting to caregivers.
• Maintains endoscope care and room supplies.
