Job summary

Qualifications

• Current State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in GI endoscopy preferred.
• ACLS certification is recommended, but optional.
• Completion of Airway Management Module is required prior to administering IV conscious sedation.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized and specialized nursing care in the endoscopy center.
• May supervise the Endoscopy Center in the absence of the Charge Nurse and with an RN on site.
• Plans, executes and evaluates nursing care per physician orders.
• Performs tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse.
