AdventHealth Kissimmee is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate endoscopy patient care under RN supervision. You will complete medical records, plan patient care using orders from the endoscopist, anesthesia and RN input, and obtain informed consent.

You will perform pre-procedure testing, educate patients and families, deliver post-procedure care, maintain continuity of care, assist with procedures, and ensure proper endoscope cleaning, room stocking, and equipment

Competenze

• Technical/Vocational School or Associate’s education required.
• 2+ years related experience preferred.

Job Description:

LPN provides care to the endoscopy patient under RN supervision. Completes medical records for all key physiologic, social, and psychological factors for endoscopy patients. Plans patient care using orders from the endoscopist, anesthesia, and RN input. Implements patient care and obtains informed consent. Carries out endoscopist’s and anesthesia’s orders. Performs pre-procedure testing and reports abnormal results. Educates patients and families before procedures. Delivers phase II post-procedure care and discharge education under RN supervision. Ensures continuity of care by timely reporting to caregivers. Practices accountability through teamwork, communication, and skill development. Stocks and cleans admit/recovery rooms as needed. Assists directly with procedures. Cleans, maintains, and documents endoscope care. Maintains endoscope cleaning supplies. Positions patients, secures monitors, and transports patients as required. Stocks and maintains procedure room supplies. Cleans procedure room and monitors.
