Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse for the Advanced Endoscopy Lab. This full-time day shift role emphasizes clinical proficiency, coordination of care, and patient education within the Endoscopy unit.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acutely ill patients, while maintaining safety and quality standards. The position requires on-call hours including evenings, overnights, and weekends, with a commitment to the hospital's ethical

Qualifications

• BSN required for all new hires after 01/01/2011
• Licensed RN in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
• CPR-BLS and ACLS required
• Able to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data to develop an individualized plan of care
• Directs care and utilizes assistants appropriately
• Involves patient and family in care decisions including discharge planning
• Ensure patient safety and reduce medical errors per National Patient Safety Goals
• Assess and manage pain, educate patient and family
• Conduct effective hand-offs to the next provider
• Manage on-call assignments as required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois

1 year of experience in similar role
