Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a full-time 40-hour work week. Rotating M-F shifts with on-call duties every 4th weekend and weekly overnight calls.

The role involves patient transport, pre/post-procedure support, and active collaboration with RNs and physicians. The position offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and tuition reimbursement on day one.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year related experience.
• Patient care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient patient transport to, within and from the unit.
• Assist with positioning of patients and basic care during procedures.
• Ensure patient safety during electrocautery and proper equipment grounding.
• Handle lab specimens and assist with transportation to the Lab.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures to improve turnaround time.
• Communicate pertinent information to RN/Charge Nurse/Manager/Physician.
