Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support RNs with basic clinical tasks on an inpatient unit. The role includes glucometry, EKGs, vital signs, and timely patient–family communication in a fast-paced environment.

The position is 40 hours per week, onsite at Francis Street, with a daytime schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and no weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements; prior clinical experience and BLS/CPR certification are preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a nursing assistant required upon hire.
• Bi-lingual skills preferred.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• May not currently hold a valid nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Support the RN with clinical tasks, including glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs.
• Respond to patient and family needs and assist with unit operations.
