Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking an Endoscopic Technician to support the perioperative team in maintaining a clean and sterile environment for endoscopic procedures.

The role focuses on cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing endoscopes, and preparing rooms and supplies for both routine and advanced procedures. You will assist with patient transport and ensure equipment readiness under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency required.
• Certification requirements (CRCST/CER/CFER) or equivalent are needed within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe environment for Perioperative patients.
• Decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare endoscopes and related supplies.
• Set up procedure rooms and ensure availability of equipment for endoscopic cases.
• Assist with patient transport and provide patient care within scope of practice.
• Monitor inventory and maintain par levels of supplies within budget constraints.
