Job summary

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) seeks a part-time Endodontist to join NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The role involves diagnosing and treating endodontic conditions, performing root canal therapies and related surgeries, and supervising dental residents. Collaboration with other specialists is essential.

Qualifications

• Endodontist with DMD or DDS.
• Active New York State Dental License.
• Board certification or eligibility in Endodontics.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Remove diseased or dead pulp tissue from inside the root canals, clean, disinfect and seal the tooth.
• Perform apicoectomies, root canal retreatments, and complex dental trauma.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise, evaluate and provide feedback to dental residents.
