VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with clerical duties, patient flow and care. The role requires room setup, patient prep and accurate documentation in EHRs. You will also handle scheduling, messaging, and coordinating referrals within policy guidelines.

Strong communication in English, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask are essential. Position supports satellite offices with travel as needed; pay ranges from $22.02 to $27.07 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.

Responsabilités

• Prepares exam room and escorts patient into room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Prepares information needed for patient visit.
• Communicates and provides care respecting patient age, culture, spiritual and developmental needs.
• Answers calls and takes messages.
• Schedules appointments per guidelines.
• Stocks exam rooms with supplies and maintains ordering of supplies.
• Records encounters daily according to policy.
