Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advance patient care across our multispecialty network. You will help with patient flow, room preparation, vitals, and documentation in the EHR. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols, including proper disposal of medical waste.

Training and career growth are available within our expanding network. Candidates should have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited MA or phlebotomy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and escort patients.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accurate patient visit preparation.
• Document vitals, allergies, and medications in EHR; manage orders in PMS/EHR.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient communications; provide referrals as needed.
• Adhere to safety and waste disposal procedures; support transition of care to hospital.
