Boston Medical Center’s Endocrinology department seeks a Medical Assistant /Patient Service Specialist for full-time, on-site support. You will assist providers, take vitals, document histories, and help manage appointments and tests in the EMR.

Strong customer service, excellent communication, and MS Office proficiency are essential. Prior Epic EMR experience is a plus and flexibility to float to related specialties is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic a plus) and MS Office is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers and prepare patients for visits.
• Record vital signs and enter data accurately into EMR.
• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and testing per protocol.
• Perform pre-visit planning and coordinate referrals when needed.
