BMCHS is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative (PSS I) for the Endocrinology department. This per diem role blends clinical and administrative tasks to support providers and ensure smooth daily operations in a multispecialty practice.

The position requires strong customer service and communication skills, EMR experience (Athena preferred), and flexibility to float to other specialties. High school diploma and MA/program completion preferred; 1–3 years experience desirable.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from approved medical assistant/medical secretary program or equivalent preferred.
• One to three years as a medical assistant, medical secretary preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Works closely with providers to assist in delivering world class care to patients.
• Rooms patients and prepares the patient for the provider visit.
• Takes vital signs and records BP, temp, pulse, oximetry, weight, height, respiratory rate in EMR.
• Records patient history, chief complaint, pharmacy information, prescription list in EMR.
• Obtains required consents and completes forms for visit types.
• Performs in-office testing as needed and supports controls on tests.
• Chaperones providers as required.
• Stocks rooms and monitors supply expiration in exam rooms.
• Registers patients in EMR with demographics and insurance details; verifies eligibility.
