Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the 02110 GCMG Endocrinology in Pineville, NC. This full-time role supports patient care in endocrinology with rooming, vitals, history taking, and screening tasks, under physician direction.

The position requires a completed Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training, along with a high school diploma and at least two years of MA experience. BLS certification and CMA/RMA credentials are expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training per DD214 in lieu of a program.
• Two years of verifiable full-time MA experience in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists or performs provider-ordered procedures.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles routine tasks: refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and proper equipment maintenance.
• May assist with training of teammates and serve on committees.
