Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant in Charlotte, NC to support endocrinology care. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, collecting history, and assisting providers with procedures while maintaining accuracy in specimens and CLIA-waived tests.

You'll ensure safe medication administration, keep the clinical area clean and stocked, and participate in training of teammates. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vitals and history.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture and specimen handling with CLIA compliant testing.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and supports patient messaging and referrals.
