Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Endocrine Surgery team at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The APP will work across outpatient clinics, operating room, and limited inpatient rounding with autonomy under nationally recognized surgeons. The role emphasizes clinic-based management, perioperative care, and First Assist responsibilities, collaborating with endocrine surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Graduate of a master's degree or higher ARC-PA accredited PA program or RN/NP pathway with TX prescriptive authority.
• Certification by NCCPA and state licensure in Texas are required or as applicable.
• Experience as a First Assist in the OR is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and manage care plans.
• Assist in the operating room as a First Assistant for endocrine procedures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and education for patients and families.
• Support quality initiatives and participate in clinical protocols.
