Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Endocrine Surgery & Oncology team. This role blends outpatient clinic management with perioperative care and First Assist responsibilities in the operating room, offering autonomy and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s level ANP/PA program accreditation,Texas licensure, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a master’s degree or higher ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master’s degree or higher in nursing with accredited Advanced Practice Education Program.
• Texas licensure as PA or APRN with prescriptive authority; NCCPA certification.
• ACLS certification required or as per UT Southwestern policy.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing physical examinations and documents findings.
• Develops and evaluates patient care plans with labs and imaging results.
• Demonstrates procedural skills appropriate to endocrine surgery practice.
• Provides management, referrals, and education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality initiatives and research protocols to improve care.
• Collaborates on research projects and applies best practices in patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
