Job summary

Duke Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) within the Surgical Oncology Division of Endocrine Surgery. The role combines operative, clinic, and independent patient care with first assisting in the operating room.

You will work with attending physicians and other APPs, perform exams, order tests, coordinate preoperative planning, and participate in perioperative decision-making. Monday–Friday day shift, no on-call.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree in Nursing or NP program completion.
• Physician Assistants: PA program completion; Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, physical exams, data collection, and documentation.
• Order and schedule labs and consultations; provide direct patient care.
• First assisting in the operating room; perioperative planning and coordination.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and other APPs; ensure effective teamwork.
