Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Fort Worth is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Gynecologic Oncology Program at the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. The APP will provide a blend of surgical first assist duties, inpatient rounding, and outpatient clinic management, partnering with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Master's degree or higher in nursing with an Advanced Practice Education Program.
  • ACLS certification per UT Southwestern policy.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations by age/diagnosis.
  • Develops and implements patient care plans with evidence-based practices.
  • Proficient in procedural skills appropriate to specialty and training.
  • Provides management, referrals, counseling and education to patients and families.
  • Contributes to quality initiatives and clinical research protocols.
  • Collaborates on research projects and applies best practices to patient care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
