Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support endoscopy procedures by handling instrumentation and maintaining sterile setup. Responsibilities include preparing, assembling, and organizing equipment and supplies to enable diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1 year of endoscopy experience, and knowledge of endoscopic instruments and sterilization.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 1 year of on-the-job experience in an endoscopy setting.
  • Knowledge of the use and handling of instruments, endoscopic equipment; scope cleaning machines and sterilizer, standard precautions and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and scope cleaning rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical responsibilities for endoscopy patients with instrumentation.
  • Monitors PAR levels of instrumentation and supplies.
  • Prepares, assembles, and organizes the work environment and equipment to perform diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

The Endoscopy Technician prepares, assembles, and organizes the work environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.

Education And Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • one (1) year of on-the-job experience in an endoscopy setting.
  • Knowledge of the use and handling of instruments, endoscopic equipment; scope cleaning machines and sterilizer, standard precautions and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and scope cleaning rooms

Required Licensure And Certification

  • No license required, participation in AORT encouraged.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification or can be obtained in 6 months
