Job summary

Medical City Healthcare in McKinney, Texas, is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to help ensure safe and effective procedures for patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. You will prepare rooms, maintain equipment, and support medical staff while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate will have prior acute experience and necessary certifications, contributing to a team dedicated to improving patient lives through high-quality care and support.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Experience in high level procedures (ERCP, GI Bleed, etc.) required.
  • Previous Endoscopy Tech acute experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order.
  • Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably.
  • Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, keeping accurate records.
  • Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families.

Skills

Experience in high level procedures (ERCP, GI Bleed)

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well‑organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.

Your Responsibilities
  • Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked.
  • Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself.
  • Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices.
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety.
  • Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • High School Graduate / GED.
  • Experience in high level procedures (ERCP, GI Bleed, etc.) required.
  • Previous Endoscopy Tech acute experience required.
