Job summary

R.E. Darling Co. seeks an IT Support Technician to provide end user support, install and test computer systems, and maintain the company intranet.

This role reports to the Information Technology & Systems Manager and requires strong communication and analytical skills, plus the ability to handle 2FA and telecommunication devices in a networked environment. The position emphasizes hands-on hardware/software support, documentation, training of users, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or Related Field, or equivalent technical certification.
• 2 years of experience supporting desktop users in a networked environment.
• Proficient hardware skills.
• Proficient in Office 365, Project, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficient in Microsoft Expression Web or similar web development software.
• Physical ability to lift and install computer equipment.

Responsibilities

• End user support/help desk for company hardware, software, mobile devices, 2FA, telecommunication devices and network connectivity.
• Install, upgrade and test computer systems, software, peripherals, mobile devices, 2FA and telecommunication devices.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with desktop hardware, software, peripherals, mobile devices, 2FA and telecommunication devices.
• Generate and maintain user documentation as required.
• Maintain hardware inventory and intranet contents.
• Overtime may be required on occasion.
