Job summary

COCC is seeking a front line technology services administrator to resolve end-user issues and keep staff productive. You will support Windows, Linux, macOS, VDI, Zoom, and related hardware/software, while ensuring timely ticket resolution and collaboration across teams.

Hybrid schedule in Rocky Hill, CT with growth and training benefits. Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 1–3 years of end-user support, including Office 365 and Active Directory familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience supporting end user technology environments.
• Experience troubleshooting end user hardware and software issues.
• Basic knowledge of Windows desktop installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of virtual Linux desktop and macOS desktop environments at the user support level.
• Basic familiarity with Office 365; exposure to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, VMware, and MDM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a front line resource for COCC staff by troubleshooting hardware, software, desktop, application, and access related issues.
• Support Windows, virtual Linux, and macOS desktops in physical and VDI environments.
• Manage and support user identities and user access.
• Provide support for Production and Disaster Recovery operations.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and macOS desktops.
• Troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware, thin clients, keyboards, mice, webcams, docking stations, and other peripherals.
• Assist users with phones and mobile devices connecting to the enterprise environment.
