Job summary

Cognizant in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a team of Systems Engineers in Corporate IT. You will drive L2/L3 escalations, mentor engineers, and own the integration of endpoint management, identity, network, and collaboration tools.

This role blends hands-on technical work with people leadership. You will set technical direction, develop engineers, and partner with service owners to improve reliability while maintaining a strong employee experience and robust processes

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT systems engineering or corporate IT infrastructure.
• 2+ years leading or managing technical teams.
• Proven ability to lead Level 2 and Level 3 support and incident response.
• ITSM platform experience (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar).
• SIEM exposure or security incident response experience.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell; Windows endpoint management familiarity.
• Certifications: JAMF 200/300, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified; ITIL or people-management training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Systems Engineers; set clear goals and conduct 1:1s.
• Own Level 2 and Level 3 escalation function; manage incidents and cross-platform issues.
• Review and approve technical designs, changes, and runbooks; hands-on for complex issues.
• Partner with security to maintain endpoint compliance and patch posture.
• Drive root cause analysis and automation to reduce repeat escalations.
• Collaborate with service owners, network, and business leaders on priorities and roadmaps.
