Job summary

Nordstrom seeks a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead teams building and operating the devices and platforms used by employees daily.

You will own end-user fleets across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, including Intune and Config Manager, plus service management tools like ServiceNow and Slack. You will drive vulnerability remediation, incident response, and cross-functional governance while managing budgets and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or closely related field or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience in systems, platform engineering, or end-user computing
• 5+ years leading and developing teams
• Deep experience managing fleets across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
• Hands-on knowledge of Intune and Configuration Manager
• Experience with ruggedized or purpose-built devices
• Experience owning operating business-critical systems and incident response
• Experience with ServiceNow for incident, problem, change, and asset management
• Experience with Azure AD and identity platforms
• Record of leading large cross-functional projects and platform migrations
• Record of continuous improvement with KPIs
• Experience with budgets, licensing, and vendor management
• Nice to have: Azure Virtual Desktop, Atlassian administration, and AI productivity tools

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for endpoint and mobile platforms including Intune and Config Manager
• Lead the engineering framework for store and supply chain handheld fleets
• Own the roadmap for service management and collaboration platforms
• Drive vulnerability remediation, patching, and audit readiness
• Lead incident response for platform outages and root cause analysis
• Partner with security, hardware, supply chain, product and business teams
• Manage budget, licensing, vendor renewals, and cost reduction
• Hire, coach, and develop engineers using Nordstrom competencies and Talent Framework
