Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team seeks an Assistant Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer in Cary, NC. You will support desktop virtualization and end-user computing platforms, including Windows 365 and AVD, as part of a cloud transformation program.

You will work across engineering, operations, and security to modernize Digital Workplace services, implement automation, and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure for employees worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, desktop engineering, virtualization, cloud, or end-user computing technologies.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Azure, and endpoint management technologies, with exposure to Citrix, AVD, Windows 365, or similar virtualization platforms.
• Experience with PowerShell, automation, AI-enabled technologies, and/or Agile/Scrum methodologies, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise desktop virtualization and end-user computing platforms (Windows 365, AVD, Citrix, endpoint management).
• Assist with Cloud PC migration, AVD adoption, platform upgrades, patch management, and lifecycle activities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, virtualization, and endpoint issues to ensure stability and performance.
• Support Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related endpoint management/security technologies.
• Develop automation and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and support digital workplace initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and vendors to deliver infrastructure projects and modernization.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles; participate in incident/change management.
