Job summary

Northwest Ambulance is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to own and consolidate payroll for ~430 employees. You will set pay practices, interpret FLSA and state laws, and own tax, L&I, and compliance. The role requires ADP proficiency and supervision of timekeeping standards.

You will manage cycles, reconcile payroll data to the GL, and drive process improvements. Expect on-site work at our Everett office with occasional travel for audits and training.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of payroll experience including responsibility for several hundred employees.
• Ability to interpret wage and hour law and apply it to pay practices.
• Knowledge of Washington L&I, Paid Family & Medical Leave, WA Cares, and paid sick leave.

Responsibilities

• Design pay practices and interpret the law behind them.
• Own tax, L&I, and regulatory compliance.
• Govern timekeeping and hold the standard.
• Run the systems and the numbers.
• Improve payroll configuration and processes.
