Responsibilities

• Own and process semi-monthly payroll through ADP Workforce Now
• Manage changes, timekeeping discrepancies, payroll adjustments, deductions, taxes and off-cycle payroll
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll regulations
• Respond to payroll questions from employees and managers
• Complete payroll, benefit, 401(k), workers’ compensation and month-end reconciliations
• Prepare and reconcile payroll-related billbacks
• Maintain payroll calendars, deadlines, documentation and procedures
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve payroll operations
• Partner with Human Resources and Accounting
• Supervise and support Payroll Assistant staff

The ideal candidate brings strong full‑cycle payroll experience, solid payroll accounting and reconciliation skills, and the confidence to step into an established operation and quickly take ownership.

What You’ll Do

• Own and process semi‑monthly payroll through ADP Workforce Now
• Manage employee changes, timekeeping discrepancies, payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and off‑cycle payroll
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Respond to employee and manager payroll questions
• Complete payroll, benefit, 401(k), Workers’ Compensation, and month‑end reconciliations
• Prepare and reconcile payroll‑related billbacks
• Manage payroll calendars, deadlines, documentation, and procedures
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve payroll operations
• Partner closely with Human Resources and Accounting
• Supervise and support Payroll Assistant staff

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of payroll and/or benefits experience
• Demonstrated experience independently managing full‑cycle payroll
• Experience supporting payroll populations of approximately 200+ employees preferred
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and reconciliations
• Experience working with multi‑state payroll
• Ability to work independently and adapt when priorities or processes change
• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus
