Job summary

Novanta, based in Bedford, MA, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to own end-to-end payroll for designated employee populations. You will ensure timely, accurate payments and compliance with federal, state, local, and international SOX controls while partnering with HR, Finance, Treasury, and external providers.

This role emphasizes process improvement through data, automation, and AI-enabled tools, plus strong service orientation to employees.

Qualifications

• 3 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Payroll certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of ADP Payroll applications- Vantage, ADP Data Bridge, Vantage ETime, ADP Reporting and Workday a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel and Word and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing.
• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready documentation in line with SOX.
• Process wage garnishments in a timely manner.
• Respond to unemployment claims and payroll-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, HR, and Benefits on payroll interdependencies.
• Maintain organized payroll records and timekeeping data.
• Support Time & Attendance configuration testing and improvements.
