Job summary

QP Technologies is seeking a hands-on leader to own end-to-end molding process development and sustainment at its Escondido, CA factory. You will design, scale, and manage a high-mix, high-volume molding operation, driving quality and yield improvements across products.

You will benchmark processes, solve complex problems, and partner with suppliers while championing DFM and robust process control. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years in molding are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in Transfer- or Injection-molding Manufacturing Engineering in a volume environment.
• Strong problem-solving and data-analysis skills.
• Experience with process control and design-for-manufacturing (DFM).
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Benchmark current molding processes and identify root causes impacting quality and yield.
• Use DOE to optimize consumables and epoxies.
• Develop optimized recipes for varied products and form factors.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize overmold tooling.
• Lead capital equipment selection and deployment to scale the process.
• Implement best-known methods for process control and maintenance.
