Job description

Job Title: Process Engineer – Molding, Blow Molding, or Compression Molding

Company: Our client is a multi-location manufacturer of proprietary polymer molded products, experiencing significant growth. They are seeking a Process Engineer to lead process improvement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize yield and minimize scrap in molding, fixtures, and assembly processes from design to product launch.
• Manage projects to refine SOPs for existing products and optimize processing parameters.
• Hands-on optimization of materials processing.
• Ensure successful introduction of new injection molded products and tooling, including SOP creation.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to implement process standards and safety improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement and process refinement efforts.

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical, Plastics Engineering, or related technical field preferred; extensive molding experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Process Engineering within manufacturing of injection, blow, or compression molded products.
• Strong processing and troubleshooting skills, experience with new tool setup, and managing first shots to production.
• Experience creating SOPs, SWIs, BOMs, and familiarity with lean manufacturing, quality control, Six Sigma.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
