The ideal candidate will handle pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence with strong organizational skills and HIPAA compliance. The role requires 4+ years in medical malpractice or complex civil litigation, solid medico-legal knowledge, and proficiency with e-filing and case management software.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical malpractice or complex civil litigation (4+ years).
• Analytical thinker able to manage caseload and deadlines independently.
• Experience handling large, document-intensive discovery productions.
• Solid working knowledge of state/federal court procedures and discovery rules.
• Proficiency with e-filing, case management software, and MS Office.
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full Case Ownership: Support complex litigation from intake through trial.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Review, obtain, and organize medical records with HIPAA compliance; create summaries and timelines; organize discovery and evidence.
• Conduct legal and factual research.
• Coordinate expert witnesses and handle disclosures; prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial.
• Track deadlines, court dates, and statutes of limitation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, experts and opposing counsel.
