The role supports a shareholder and manages about 20-30 matters across pre-suit and active litigation, handling deadlines, discovery, medical records, expert coordination, and trial prep.

The ideal candidate is Florida-licensed with strong organization, detail orientation, and the ability to anticipate next steps.

Qualifications

Several years of paralegal experience in medical malpractice or plaintiff-side matters.
Strong knowledge of Florida litigation practices and independent case management.
Experience gathering medical records and preparing bill summaries.
Hands-on with discovery, interrogatories, deadlines, depositions, and trial prep.
Attention to detail, organization, and proactive ownership of tasks.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities

Manage plaintiff-side medical malpractice cases from initial development through litigation and trial preparation.
Track case deadlines, filings and milestones to keep matters moving forward.
Gather, organize, index, and maintain medical records; prepare bill summaries.
Draft pleadings, discovery responses, interrogatories, and related documents.
Communicate with clients to gather information and keep case data accurate.
Coordinate expert witnesses and support depositions, mediations, and hearings.
Maintain organized files, perform e-filing, and adapt to urgent matters.
