Job summary

Story in San Francisco invites a seasoned Fullstack Filmmaker to lead projects from concept through delivery. You will develop concepts, plan productions, direct, shoot, and edit across Story’s diverse work. Some projects you’ll own end to end; others you’ll collaborate with a producer.

This role suits someone who can manage multiple projects, coordinate with VFX, lead client calls, and maintain strong relationships from brief to final cut.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating work across multiple stages of production.
• Professional experience directing, shooting, and editing.
• Experience managing client relationships.
• Ability to complete a paid test project.
• Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
• Degrees not required. Your work speaks for itself.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative concepts from the initial brief through execution.
• Plan productions, including budgets, schedules, talent, and locations.
• Direct and shoot across a range of projects and formats.
• Edit your own work or guide an editor through post-production.
• Coordinate with VFX artists and other production collaborators.
• Lead client calls, present ideas, and manage relationships throughout a project.
• Manage multiple projects while keeping quality and delivery on track.
