Job summary

State Street is seeking a security-minded Platform Engineer focused on Encryption-as-a-Service (EaaS). You will design, implement, and support enterprise encryption and key management across cloud and on-prem environments, aligning with security standards and business needs.

You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to onboard new use cases, automate processes, and improve scalability while guiding teams on encryption best practices and service consumption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering.
• Experience with encryption, key management, secrets management, certificate management, or cloud security solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
• Scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Java, C#, or Go.
• REST APIs, service-based architectures, and IaC tooling like Terraform/Ansible/Jenkins/Harness.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise encryption and key management services across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to onboard use cases and integrate encryption capabilities into solutions.
• Design self-service capabilities, automation, and operational processes to improve scalability and usability.
• Maintain service documentation, onboarding procedures, and runbooks.
• Integrate with centralized key management platforms and cloud-native key management services.
• Monitor service performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
