Job summary

State Street seeks a security-minded Platform Engineer focused on encryption and key management, delivering standardized services across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will design, implement, and support encryption capabilities while partnering with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to drive adoption and secure outcomes.

You will enable scalable, automated solutions, contribute to self-service capabilities, and help align with cybersecurity standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering.
• Experience with encryption, key management, certificates, or secret management.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP and cloud security solutions.
• Proficient scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash/Go/Java/C#.

Responsibilities

• Support encryption and key management services across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to onboard use cases.
• Design self-service capabilities, automation, and operational runbooks.
• Implement integrations with cloud-native KMS and related cryptographic tech.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and drive timely resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in evaluations, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
• Provide guidance on encryption best practices and service consumption.
