Job summary

State Street is seeking an Encryption Engineer to embed encryption and key management into the SDLC, DevSecOps pipelines, and enterprise platform patterns. You will drive secure-by-design practices, build reusable automation, and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure standardized cryptographic controls across cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed encryption and key management controls into SDLC, DevSecOps pipelines, and platform patterns.
• Design secure-by-default encryption capabilities for rapid adoption by application teams.
• Develop reusable automation, APIs, templates, and IaC modules for enterprise encryption adoption.
• Integrate key management, secrets, and certificate services into standard developer workflows and CI/CD toolchains.
• Establish automated guardrails and policy-driven controls across the software lifecycle.
• Define triggers for architectural reviews to address non-conforming designs.
• Collaborate with application, platform, cloud, and architecture teams to implement cryptographic standards.
• Create standards and developer enablement materials to simplify adoption.
• Increase automation and self-service adoption while reducing manual security reviews.
• Monitor and assess encryption implementations for gaps and standardization opportunities.
• Support regulatory, audit, and risk management with automated evidence.
• Drive adoption of encryption services by modernizing legacy implementations.
• Reduce fragmented implementations with standardized patterns and automation.
• Minimize design exceptions and operational risks by embedding controls in development processes.
• Accelerate compliant onboarding and delivery with reusable security capabilities.
