Job summary

Google Procurement Organization (GPO) seeks an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that align with Google's strategic goals. You will manage resources, mitigate risks, and report KPIs to leadership to drive value and efficiency.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills and education. US: $136000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits. Location preferences include Chicago, IL, USA; Sunnyvale, CA, USA.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in project and program management.
  • Experience successfully managing and delivering programs and projects aligned with organizational goals.
Preferred qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience identifying manual tasks and implementing AI-driven solutions to reduce operational overhead.
  • Ability to establish and maintain standardized processes, methodologies, and best practices for project and program management.
  • Exceptional communication and skills for facilitating communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor project performance, track key metrics, and evaluate project outcomes against predefined goals.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and mentor project managers and teams effectively.

  • Develop and align programs and projects with GPO's overall strategic goals, and ensure individual projects contribute to the broader objectives of GPO.
  • Support management of resources across various projects and optimization of resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization and prioritization of tasks.
  • Help identify and manage risks that may impact project delivery or program success, and work to resolve issues and mitigate risks promptly.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, and ensure transparency while keeping stakeholders informed about project progress, risks, and changes.
  • Monitor the performance of various programs and projects, tracking key metrics, and generate reports for leadership to make informed decisions; this includes evaluating project outcomes against predefined goals and KPIs.
