Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified in state: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• CPR and AED certification valid.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, medical history, and tests.
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory results.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results per SOPs.
• Work under Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.
• Follow EHS guidance and assist in medical emergencies as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
