Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Minnesota seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review test results. You will follow SOPs and work under the Center Manager and Center Physician for medical guidance.

Qualifications

• State-issued EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licenses required or equivalent nursing license.
• CPR and AED certification current and valid.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and history.
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results per SOPs.
• Refer issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Handle occupational health/ER incidents with EHS guidance.
