Job summary

Ridgeview is seeking a Connecticut? EMT? (This ad is in Minnesota) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, provide rapid assessment, treatment and transportation of patients in the pre-hospital setting under physician control.

The position requires a MN EMT certification, BLS, and a valid MN driver’s license, with on-call, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential to coordinate care and ensure safe transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet insurability requirements.
• Current MN EMT certification.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid MN driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic life support as needed in compliance with state, local and Ridgeview procedures.
• Establishes rapport with patients and families ensuring gentle and attentive transport.
• Responds to emergencies by selecting route, observing traffic, communicating with dispatcher.
• Completes reports accurately.
• Maintains equipment through preventive maintenance and proper use; reports repairs.
