The role involves crisis intervention, emotional support, and on-site medical assistance during mental health crises, with a focus on collaboration with mental health professionals and emergency responders.

You will provide peer support, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care while documenting interactions and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• EMT certification required.
• Experience in crisis response preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Lived experience with mental health challenges is advantageous.
• Willingness to become Peer Certified within a year of hire.
• Ability to work 24/7 shifts and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health crisis and mobile crisis calls, providing on-site support and medical care.
• Conduct initial crisis assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer basic first aid and address medical needs as they arise.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals, law enforcement and emergency responders.
• Document interactions accurately and maintain confidentiality; participate in trainings.
