Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to lead engagement and provide non-clinical support after crises are resolved. You will demonstrate peer-to-peer competency before independent service delivery, working within the 988 Program’s mobile outreach teams.

Qualifications

Must be trained in crisis intervention.
At least 2 years of continuous recovery from an SMI or SUD diagnosis.
At least 1 year of field experience working with community individuals.
Certification from one of several credentialing entities (CRSP/CPRS, NCPRSS, Wellness Coach, or CMH Associate).
Driver's license in good standing with limited moving violations.

Responsibilities

Lead engagement with consumers and provide non-clinical peer-to-peer support.
Assist after crisis resolution with linkage to services and follow-up care.
Participate in de-escalation, mental health crisis, substance use crisis, and suicide trainings administered by DMHAS.
