Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital in Lubbock, TX is seeking an EMT Paramedic/Patient Access Representative for full-time day shifts. The role combines clinical support with patient access duties in a busy Emergency Department.

Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, triage, venipuncture, ECG, POC testing, registrations, insurance verification, and supporting ED operations while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of EMS experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Current TX EMT-Paramedic certification.
• Active AHA healthcare provider certification and ACLS/PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers and ED operations.
• Obtain vital signs, triage patients, and prioritize care.
• Perform venipuncture and IV insertions; interpret ECG rhythm strips.
• Conduct Point of Care testing under physician supervision.
• Assist with patient care within scope of practice; maintain sterile environment.
