Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is hiring an EMT-Paramedic/Patient Access Representative for a full-time day shift in Lubbock, TX. The role combines clinical support with patient access duties in a busy emergency department setting.

The ideal candidate holds Texas EMT-Paramedic certification, AHA Healthcare Provider, ACLS, and PALS certifications, and has 1–2 years of relevant experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as EMT/Paramedic or related clinical role.
• Current Texas EMT-Paramedic Certification.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Current PALS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and Emergency Department operations.
• Obtain patient vital signs, triage, and prioritize patient care.
• Perform venipunctures and intravenous insertions.
• Interpret ECG rhythm strips and 12-lead ECGs.
• Assist with Point of Care testing under physician supervision.
• Support ER throughput and patient care within scope of practice.
• Register/admit patients into HIS; verify insurance and collect required consent forms.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure equipment readiness.
