Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state nursing license/certification required.
• Current licensure or certification as EMT-B / EMT-A / EMT-I / EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Manage donor adverse events and physical examinations per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Refer medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health initiatives.
