Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program credential.
Current state licensure: EMT-B/A/I/Paramedic, LPN/LVN, or RN.
CPR and AED certification current.
Fulfill FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, and SPE review.
Evaluate donor reactions as per SOPs.
Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and arrange donor transport to care facilities.
Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for investigations.
