Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an EMT to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) services for emergency and non-emergency requests. The EMT will transport patients, coordinate with police and other agencies, and support the department in a fast-paced healthcare setting in New Jersey.

The role requires staying flexible, complying with state regulations, and maintaining equipment and documentation. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time EMTs on the Night Shift who start by Nov 4, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use standard software packages.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls in a timely manner.
• Assesses patient and provides pre-hospital BLS care.
• Operates emergency vehicle safely and in accordance with policies.
• Completes patient care reports and communicates handoffs clearly.
• Maintains vehicle readiness and equipment in Good condition.
